Charles Phillip Callahan, age 63 of Laurinburg passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
He was born April 16, 1962 in Scotland County, NC, loving son of the late Hedrick “Ham” Callahan and the late Lillie Mae Locklear Callahan. Charles was a valued employee with NAPA for many dedicated years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, high school football, and adventure movies that would keep him on the edge of his seat. Charles also enjoyed being outdoors fishing, taking a Sunday stroll, and loved to ride. He took great pleasure tending to his garden which helped to feed his family, cooking on the grill, and eating at a good buffet. Charles was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Justin Callahan; brothers, Wayne Locklear, Steve Locklear; and sister, Marggie Cherry.
He is survived by son, Randy Callahan and Charles “Peewee” Callahan, Jr. both of Laurinburg; daughter, Jessica Callahan of Laurinburg; brother, Mitchell “Spanky” Callahan of Laurinburg; sisters, Betsy Arrington (Andy) and Peggy Cole each of Laurinburg; sister-in-law, Blanch Locklear of Laurinburg; and grandchildren, Silas Haywood, Hunter Callahan, Rhys Callahan, Julius Callahan, Maddison Callahan, and Marcus Callahan; along with many loving extended family and friends.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Friday prior to the service beginning 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
