Cedric "Jacky" Jackson Hildreth

Cedric "Jacky" Jackson Hildreth, Jr., passed away on June 9, 2026, at the young age of 68.

He was born in Anson County, North Carolina. He resided in Shallotte, North Carolina at the time of his passing.  Jacky was a beloved brother, uncle, great uncle, friend, and neighbor, whose humor and presence touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was known for his stubbornness and humor.

Throughout his life, Jacky enjoyed storytelling and dumb jokes. Some of the happiest memories shared by family and friends involve gatherings and holidays.  He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Army. 

Above all else, Jacky cherished his family. He is survived by his sister, Kandie Rushing & husband Phil Rushing of Shallotte NC; two brothers, Ricky Hildreth & wife Barbara Hildreth of Laurinburg NC and Stan Hildreth & wife Wendy Hildreth of Peachland NC; stepbrother, Josh Kelly of Laurinburg NC; Jacky also has many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Cedric Hildreth, Mother, Peggy Hildreth; Grandmother, Christine Johnson; Grandfather, Stanmore Johnson, Granny Margaret Hildreth; Grandfather, Thurston Hildreth.

Though our hearts ache in his absence, we will find comfort in the memories he gave us, and the love he shared. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the countless memories he leaves behind.

The memorial service with military honors will be held 1:00 p.m.  on Saturday, June 20, 2026, Multitudes Church, 15301 Jim Calhoun Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352. There will be a meet and greeting with family from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.   All are welcome as we say our final Goodbyes.

Rest high on that mountain. Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
