Cecil Warren Caison

Cecil Warren Caison was born September 9, 1935 in Scotland County, a son of the late Henry “Kit” Caison and Gladys Phipps Caison.   He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.  Cecil served as a Laurinburg City Police Officer in the 1960’s and later retired from Pilkington Glass.  He became a member of the Laurinburg Masonic Lodge in 1962 serving as Grand Master in 1974.  He also enjoyed being a member of The Shriners.  Big Beautiful, as he was called, was a diehard fan of the Washington Red Skins and Fighting Scots Football Teams.  Cecil passed away at the age of 84 on March 25, 2020.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Caison; daughter, Angela Caison Tyndall; son, Warren Caison; great granddaughter, Christy Daniel Caison White; his sisters, Ila Caison Godwin, Patricia Caison; a brother, William Harold Caison and a special aunt, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Phipps.

Survivors include his daughter, Crystal D. Caison, and grandchildren, Rodney Caison, Jodi Murphy, Amber Caison; great grandchildren, Leilani Scott, Alexis Caison, Mia Caison, Jackie Murphy, Jasper Murphy; his brother, Charles Caison, along with two dear friends, Edith Evans and Mary Ellis.

The family wishes to thank all the staff of Prestwick Village and Morrison Manor for their exceptional care and companion.

Private graveside services were held on March 28, 2020 in Hillside Memorial Park.
