Cassidy Faith Johnson

Cassidy Faith Johnson loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend departed this life at the age of 47 on May 12, 2025.

She was born April 11, 1978 in Scotland County, the adored daughter of Maragarie Dennis Johnson and the late Kenneth Harold Johnson. Cassidy enjoyed her work as a Massage Therapist and also as a substitute teacher in the Richmond County School System. Cassidy had a deep connection with nature and loved being outdoors hiking, kayaking, or riding the North Carolina Game Lands in the Sandhills. She also enjoyed listening to all types of music and learning about the Native American culture. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family and the memories they shared. Cassidy will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love her.

Left to cherish her memory is daughter, Rylee Odom of Hamlet; mother, Maragarie Johnson of Rockingham; brothers, Kenneth “Heath” Johnson (Dana) of Chesterfield, SC, and Davey Carpenter (Angel) of Rockingham; sister, Stacey C. Lyon (Richard) of Rockingham; nieces and nephew, Emma Johnson, Brandi Taylor, Alan Michael Chavis; and several great-nieces and great-nephews; along with many loving extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Richmond County Memorial Park.    Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
