Carol Ann Stegall Lentz of Laurinburg, NC departed this life at the age of 67 on January 16, 2025.
She was born November 3, 1957 in Charlotte, NC, daughter of Stephen Jordan and Virginia Stegall and lovingly raised by grandparents, Robert and Sara Stegall. Carol Ann began her career with Z.V. Pate, Inc., followed by sales to Scotland and surrounding counties while with Verizon, to later accepting a position as the Executive Director of the American Red Cross Eastern Chapter for Scotland County. She loved her work with the America Red Cross helping others in their critical time of need. She also volunteered in her community with Relay for Life along with coordinating the Celebrity Dinner each year. Carol Ann also served as a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Living Word.
In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, bird watching, and playing a round of golf. Carol Ann loved to dance, travel and especially caring for her furry child, ME. Her greatest joy came from time shared with her family making treasured memories. Carol Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Along with her parents and grandparents, she is preceded in death by brother, John Robert Stegall and sister, Gail Daniels.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Herman “Mac” Lee Lentz of the home; sons, Bill Freeman (Candice) of Laurinburg, NC, Graham Lentz (Suki) of Wake Forest, NC, Travis Lentz of Cary, NC; sisters, Stephanie Jordan (Ken) of China Grove, NC, Sara Elizabeth Baker (Larry) of Dallas, NC, Dianna Moore of Charlotte, NC; brother, Jerry Stegall of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Grant Freeman (Katy), Tucker Freeman, Alder Lentz, and Anson Lentz; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.
The celebration of life memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
