Carl Owen Tindall, age 86 departed this life on January 3, 2026 surrounded by his loving family and found true peace in the arms of our Lord.
He was born in South Carolina on June 13, 1939 to the late Bessie and Frank Tindall. He spent the majority of his career (over 50 years) working in the farm implementation industry and retired from Southeast Farm Equipment in Laurinburg at the age of 70. He was a devoted member of St. John United Methodist Church in Gibson where he loved serving the Lord and helping his community. If you knew Carl, you knew you would be greeted with a smile, a warm hug, and then possibly a story or two about times gone by and that you would part ways feeling just a bit brighter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend and a true gentleman’s gentleman who profoundly blessed the lives of all he knew.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Anita Gibson Tindall; sisters, Doris Tindall and Frances Tindall Jordan (Howard); and brothers-in-law, Colie Watson and Spencer Lucas.
Carl is survived by four children, Stephanie Norris of Laurel Hill, Jeff Tindall (Jane) of Laurinburg, Becky Mordarski (Dan) of Fayetteville, and Jennifer Caviness (Doug) also of Fayetteville; sisters, Betty Watson of Bishopville and Alice Lucas of Largo, FL; brother-in-law, Willie P. Gibson (Judy) of Waxhaw; grandchildren Angela Rabon, Brian Tindall, Steven Mordarski, Katie Mordarski, Tony Morgan, Tabatha Beaman, Cassi Horne, Tuesday Morgan; and six great-grandchildren; along with a host of much-loved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at St. John United Methodist Church with burial following at Pinecrest Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.
