Blanchie Brown Obituary

Blanchie Carolyn Brown, age 75 of Laurinburg passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

Blanchie, daughter of the late Charlie Marshall Milligan and Ethel Pittock Milligan was born April 4, 1945 in Ashford Kent, England. She was the devoted wife of 45 years to the late Carl Reece Brown. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, eating Eggo Waffles and watching her favorite television programs, General Hospital and Walker, Texas Ranger. Blanchie never met a stranger and always enjoyed a good joke. She devoted her life to caring for her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Milligan.

Blanchie is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Dawn Giotta of the home; brother, Gordon Milligan (Patricia) of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Linda Horne of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Franklin Reece Brown (Lauren), Tabitha Vianca Giotta along with her nieces, nephews and many friends.

A time of visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

She will be laid to rest with her late husband, Carl for a private interment service in the Salisbury National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

 

COVID-19 mandates require facial masks or coverings and attendance for all services are limited.
