Mrs. Blake Leigh McCulloch Powers, devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend departed this life for her Heavenly home at the age of 27 on the evening of February 14, 2025.
She was the adored daughter of Glenn “Ward” McCulloch and Deena Jolene Herrick, born January 3, 1998 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Blake cherished being a homemaker, caring for her family and creating a loving and warm home where they created many beautiful memories. She faithfully served Christ and was a member of New Life Pentecostal Holiness. Blake enjoyed shopping trips, being outdoors, especially camping, riding four wheelers, and horseback riding. More than anything, she loved being a wife to Jacob and mother to her precious Rhyse. Blake will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and leaves a special mark on her family, friends, and community.
Left to cherish her memory is husband, Jacob Mikal Powers and her young son, Mikal “Rhyse” Powers of the home; parents, Deena Herrick of Laurinburg and Glenn “Ward” McCulloch of Georgia; brother, Brandon Heath Standridge and wife, Emilee of Laurinburg; father and mother in-law, Dewayne and Wendy Powers also of Laurinburg; along with her loving extended family and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is planned for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
