Betty Joann Bloxson of Aberdeen, NC passed away at the age of 64 on September 5, 2024.
She was born at Kindley Air Force Base in Bermuda on March 30, 1960, daughter of the late John and Barbara Ellen Shepherd Bloxson. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, John Bloxson, Jr.
Betty is survived by sisters, Phyllis Bloxson of Dayton, TN, Doris “Dee J” Bloxson-Pope (Tom) of Cleveland, TN, Neice Sherry Bloxson Bean (Simon) of Cleveland, TN, nephew, Jacob Bloxson of Dayton, TN, great Neice Ellie Bean and great nephew Elijah Bean.
Betty loved Jesus more than anything followed by family. Lawrence Welk & Southern gospel held a special place in her heart. Her favorite hymns were, “Live Lifted Me” & “Victory In Jesus”. Betty was a resident in the R.H.A. Community over 30 years.
There will be a memorial at her mothers gravesite a Hillside Cemetary, Laurinburg at a later date. Also there will be a memorial at a later date at Chickamagua Battlefield Chattanooga TN.
The family would like to extend thanks to First Health Moore Regional Hospital and Morrison Manor ( Scotland Hospice) for their compassionate care through the final days of Betty’s life on earth. Thanks also to Betty’s Neice, Sherry Bean RN, BSN for being Betty’s own personal Last Responder.
