Betty Thea Locklear

Betty Thea Locklear, age 67 of Wagram passed away Friday, May 14, 2021.

Betty was born December 23, 1953 in Robeson County, daughter of Winford Blue and the late Sallie Locklear Blue. She retired as a home healthcare nurse, serving the community for over 15 years. She was a member of Community Holiness Church and enjoyed reading, painting and working crossword puzzles. The family will remember Betty as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will truly be missed.

Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by her brother, Herman Blue; sister, Barbara Holmes, and great grandson, Koda Chaske Lee Jones.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Audrey Stubbs of Wallace, SC, Angela Jones (Jeremy) of Wagram; father, Winford Blue of Wagram; brothers, Jimmy Blue (Mickey) of Shannon, Lynn Blue (Ann) of Albemarle; sisters, Rosie Justice, Emma Jane Hatley, both of Wagram; grandchildren, Stacey Creech (John), Dekanawida Jones of the home, Jordan Rainwater, Tecumseh Jones, Osceola Jones, great grandchildren, Lily Gandy, Addison Gandy, Jaxon Baker, Ava Wallace, Canowicakte Jones, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be at Noon Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Blue Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at the funeral home.
