Betty Marie Oxendine

Betty Marie Dailey Oxendine, age 86 of Laurinburg passed away at Morrison Manor on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

Betty was born on July 11, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Wallace Henry Dailey and Phyllis Baker Burgess.  She attended Skyway Baptist Church, volunteered at Scotland Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Scotland County Young at Heart Club.  Betty enjoyed making anything with her hands, teaching others how to make crafts, baking and cooking.  She loved spending time with her family and her K-9 Hatchi.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wallace " Sonny" Dailey; sister
Dorothy Stacey and grandson Joseph Allen Riggins.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years Plummer Oxendine of the home, son Charles Oxendine (Sylvia) of Laurinburg; daughters, Darlene Yarbrough (Ronnie) of Sanford, Deborah Cadwell (Dan) of Medina, OH, Phyllis Langley (Harold) of Laurinburg; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Hillside Memorial Cemetery. 

Covid-19 mandate requires facial masks, social distancing and limited attendance at all services.
