Betty Faulk Obituary

Betty Lamb Faulk, loving mother and grandmother, devoted sister and friend departed this life at the age of 82 on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

She was born May 5, 1941, daughter of the late Earnest Dewey Lamb, Sr., and the late Blanche McInnis Lamb.  Betty was the loving wife to the late Harold Elwood “Woody” Faulk, Sr., together they shared a beautiful life raising their family.  Along with being a homemaker, she worked many years as a secretary with JP Stevens, Inc., until retirement.  Her parents were charter members of Calvary Baptist Church in Maxton where she also served as a faithful member until the church closing.  Betty was also an antique lover who enjoyed shopping and cooking for her family.  She adored her family and loved sharing time with each of them especially the grandchildren.  

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Chadwyn Hunter Jacobs; brother, Earnest Dewey Lamb, Jr; and sisters, Patricia “Patty” L. Stubbs.

Betty is survived by her son, Harold Elwood Faulk, Jr., of Gibson, and daughter, Ann Marie Faulk Jacobs (Jerry Jacobs) of Laurinburg; sister, Kathy Lamb of Laurinburg; sister-in-law, Connie Lamb of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Jonathan Drake Jacobs, Elliana Marie Jacobs, Jarred Raylon Jacobs, Jeremy Mitchell Jacobs, Krystal Gray Faulk, Harleigh Elizabeth Faulk; great grandchildren, Aedyn Mitchell-Wayne Jacobs, Jaxson Sawyer Bray, Hunter Hayze Jacobs, Jarred Raylon Jacobs, Jr., Colby Wayne Jacobs, Sadie Gracelyn Faulk, Alexis Gracie Coats, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the former Calvary Baptist Church in Maxton.  Burial will follow the service in Oak Grove Cemetery.   Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church.

The family request memorials be given in Betty’s memory to Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC  28353.
