Mrs. Betty English Leviner of Marston, NC departed this life for her Heavenly home at the age of 88 on Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2026.
She was the loving daughter of the late Zeb Vance English and the late Lottie Mae English, born April 26, 1937 in Marlboro County, SC. Along with being a homemaker, Betty was a valued employee of Belk for many years and then Julia’s Store until retiring. Her friendly smile was always a welcome to the many customers she helped through the years. She served as a faithful member of Oak Grove Church in Wallace, SC. Betty enjoyed quiet time reading her bible, cooking a wonderful meal for her family, and watching her favorite team, University of North Carolina Tarheels, play an exciting game of basketball. She also took great pleasure supporting her family in their many activities, especially traveling with her late husband, Ralph “Shorty” Leviner as he played his steel guitar. Above all, her greatest joy came from time spent with her family and friends and the many memories they shared. Betty with her infectious smile and warm inviting personality will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Ralph “Shorty” Leviner; and siblings, Novella Parker, Robert English, Martha Quick, Frank English, Marie Page, Zeb W. English, and Joe English.
Left to cherish her memory is her adored only daughter, Karen Denise Leviner (Ernie Blue) of Marston; sister, Faye Allen of Hartsville, SC; and grandchildren, Christopher Walters, Aaron Walters, and Heather Walters; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery in Wallace, SC.
A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday beginning 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests memorial donations be given to Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353
