Austin Dean Emanuel was born on September 21, 1994 in Scotland County, son of John Christopher Emanuel and Sasha Stubbs Locklear. Austin worked with Edward Wood Products and attended Gray Pond Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was always willing to extend a helping hand to his father and others whenever needed. Austin will truly be missed as a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away at the age of 27 on May 25, 2022.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Christopher Kaymon Emanuel of Maxton; father, John Emanuel (Kimberly) of Laurinburg; mother, Sasha Locklear and step father, Don, “Dovenell”, Locklear, of Maxton; brothers, Brandon Broussard, Jason Laviner, both of Laurel Hill; sisters, Carmen Emanuel of Laurinburg, Jade Emanuel of Pembroke, Zoee Raon of Sanford; mother of his son, Monica Lewis of Maxton, along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Gray Pond Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Horace Oxendine and Rev. Harold Hunt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.
