Arthur Epting Lloyd, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Epting Lloyd, Jr., of Laurinburg passed away at the age of 77 on September 23, 2025.

Arthur was the born September 26, 1947 in Florence, South Carolina, son of the late Arthur Epting Lloyd, Sr., and Madeline Felica McCall Lloyd.  He served in the military with the United States Marine Corps.  Following his time in service, Arthur made his home in Seattle, Washington, where he had a successful career with the United States Postal Service along with the Veterans Administration Office until his retirement.  He made his last home in Laurinburg where he could share time with his loving family.   Arthur was quiet gentleman who will be remembered for his love of helping others.

Along with his parents, preceding him in death are sisters, Martha Josephine Lloyd and Laura “Kitty” Lloyd Lassiter.

Arthur is survived by his brother-in-law, Joseph “Joe” H. Lassiter of Laurinburg; nephews, Dustin Howard Lassiter (Susan) of Pineville, and Michael Lloyd Lassiter (Deirdre Gordon) of Durham, in addition to a host of loving great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at graveside 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in the Mount Hope Cemetery & Mausoleum, Florence, SC.    The family will receive friends follow the service at graveside.
