Arree Tyler Bryant

Arree Tyler Bryant was the loving daughter to the late George Washington Tyler and Lucy Jane Jacobs Tyler, born on July 30, 1934 in Robeson County. She worked for Abbott Laboratories many years and faithfully served as a member of Sycamore Hill Holiness Church. In times of leisure, she enjoyed fishing and shopping. Arree was a special lady, who loved others with her whole heart and always enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Arree passed away at the age of 87 on June 27, 2022.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, George W. Tyler, Jr., Charlie Tyler, David Tyler, Robert G. Tyler and sisters, Phronia Tyler, Lillie Mae McGirt, Lucy Jane Carter, Pearlene Locklear, Nolia Locklear, Melree Dial, and Mallie Cake Tyler.

Arree leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 68 years, Willie French Bryant, Jr. of the home; son, Willie “French” Bryant, III of Maxton; daughters, Dorsey Marie Hunt (Glenn) of Pembroke, Darlene B. Otten (James) of Maxton; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Sycamore Hill Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at Sycamore Hill Holiness Church.
