Arnold Strickland

Arnold Strickland was the loving son of the late Wade Buster Strickland and the late Retha Mae Strickland born January 15, 1958 in Laurinburg, NC.   After graduating from Maxton High School, Arnold began his working career in textiles with JP Stevens, Inc., where he was a dedicated employee for over 34 years.  He then joined the staff of Smithfield Foods where he worked until retirement.   The love of his life was raising his daughter, Kelsey, and he cherished time spent with family.  He was an avid UNC Tarheel fan, enjoyed watching football, and also wrestling.  Arnold passed away at the age of 65 on September 14, 2023, a loving father and brother who will truly be missed.

Along with his parents, preceding in death is wife, Glenda Strickland; son, Justin Strickland; and brothers, Wade Strickland, Jr., Clinton Strickland, Brantley Strickland.

Arnold is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Strickland of the home in Maxton, and her mother, Tammie Jacobs of Pinebluff; his brother, Dexter Strickland of Maxton, along with a host of loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 19th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service.    

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20th at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
