Arlevia Bryson Wright

Mrs. Arlevia Bryson Wright, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed to her Heavenly home at the age of 93 on January 14, 2026.  She will deeply be missed by her family and loved ones.

She was one of twelve children of the late Felix and Molly Hopkins Bryson born December 22, 1932 in Lancaster, South Carolina.  She was the loving and devoted wife of 45 years to the late Charles DeWitt Wright. Along with being a devoted homemaker, Arlevia worked in textiles first with Springs Mills for 18 years and later retired from SOPAKCO of Bennettsville.   She faithfully served Christ her entire life and was a devoted member of the Gibson Pentecostal Holiness Church.   Her greatest joy was time shared with her family.  

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by all of her siblings, brothers, Ed Bryson, James Bryson, Melvin Bryson, Frank Bryson; sisters, Katherine Bauers, Rosa Lee Walters, Faye Hannah, Mildred Powers, Maxie Robinson, Lois Bryson, and Pearlie Ellis.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Wright Greer and husband Charles of Raeford, NC, Dorothy Wright Parker of Laurel Hill, NC; five grandchildren, Amber Greer, Heather Greer, Donyell Parker, Otis Parker, Billy Parker, Jr.; seven great grandchildren; and a host loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Tommy Leviner.   Burial will follow the service in Richmond County Memorial Park.     

Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service on Monday beginning at 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
