Ann McMillan Tapp

January 13, 1940 ~ March 20, 2020 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Ann Tapp Obituary

Patricia “Ann” McMillan Tapp was born, January 13, 1940 in Scotland County, a daughter of the late Charles Monroe McMillan and Mary Thomas Sizemore McMillan. She was the wife of the late Thomas Cicero Tapp who preceded her in death in 2019. She worked many years in manufacturing. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and especially loved to bake and was well known by all for her chocolate pound cakes. She had a special love for her cats and dogs. After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Ann passed away at the age of 80 on Friday, March 20, 2020.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, John Douglas Tapp; brothers, Charles McMillan, John McMillan, Samuel McMillan; sisters, Mildred Kelly, Hattie Leggett, Ruth McMillan and Martha Hennecy.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Karen Staab (Stan) of Fayetteville; daughter in-law, Donna Tapp of Laurinburg; brothers, Archibald McMillan (Cherrie) of Ellerbe, Malcolm McMillan (Jean) of Graham; sisters, Nancy McGinn (Harry) of Texas, Dorothy Lane (David) of Surfside Beach, SC; grandchildren, Beth Hobbs (Ronnie), Elaine Rodgers, Christopher Staab; great granddaughter, Morgan Rodgers and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family requests memorial donations be given in her memory to the Scotland County Humane Society, 1401 West Blvd., Laurinburg, NC 28352.

Due to current health concerns, the family will have a Memorial service at a later date.

 

 

STATE OFFICIALS HAVE MANDATED LIMITING GATHERINGS TO NO MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE. IN ORDER TO KEEP ALL OF OUR FAMILIES SAFE AT THIS TIME, RICHARD BOLES FUNERAL SERVICE WILL ABIDE BY THIS MANDATE.
