Ander Clark Obituary

Mr. Ander Clark, beloved husband, father, grandfather, Papa, brother, friend, and soldier of Laurinburg departed this life for his Heavenly home on September 21, 2024, at the age of 83.

Ander was born on August 23, 1941, in Robeson County, North Carolina, son of the late Martin Clark and Arielma Locklear Clark. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War who proudly served our nation in the United States Army. He was a hardworking man who was always willing to help others. Ander retired after many years of service with the Campbell Soup Company and retired from farming with Clark Brothers Farm where he loved being on his tractors. Many knew and admired Ander for his volunteer work with fellow veterans. He proudly served as a member of the Robeson County Honor Guard giving final honors to fallen soldiers. He truly enjoyed participating in their trips to Washington, D.C. honoring Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, and Independence Day. Ander also served as a member of the V.F.W. Lumbee Warriors and the American Legion where he enjoyed participating in fundraisers and recruiting other veterans. He was passionate about farming and his red International Harvester tractors. Above all, Mr. Clark loved and cherished his family who will miss him dearly.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Savannah Harris, Martin Clark, Jr. (Pappy), Benford (Shot) Clark, Marian (Nookie) Bullard, Virginia Hobbie, Louise (Weezie) Moses, Emma (Emmabelle) Holt, Hubert (Sack) Clark, Ben James (Buck) Clark, and grandson Clayton Bowen.

Clark of Laurinburg, and Elizabeth Clark Locklear (Becky), and husband Gerald; brothers Herbert Clark (Tang) and wife Mary; Raymond Clark (Enoch) and wife Delois (Ookie); and a special brother, James “EB” McLaurin; grandchildren Derrick C.
