Anden "Andy" Franklin Barton

Anden “Andy” Franklin Barton, age 79 of Laurel Hill passed away April 17, 2022.

Andy was born March 4, 1943 in Robeson County, son of the late Elizabeth Barton. He worked many years in the textile industry with Fruit of the Loom and was a member of Rachel Holiness Church. Andy had a love of the outdoors hunting deer and rabbit, fishing, and tinkering on lawnmowers. His family will truly miss him and will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  

Along with his parents, Andy is preceded in death by brothers, Donald Guinn and Fred Barton.

Andy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gracie Knight Barton of the home; sons, James Barton, Leon Barton and daughter, Linda Lovell (Eddie), all of Laurel Hill; grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Harding, Clarence Harding, Tyler Barton, Amanda Barton, Gladys Barton, great grandchildren, Bailey Richardson, Sophia Jacobs, Nevaeh Harding, Miah Harding, and a host of many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Laurinburg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
