Allen Dean McKenzie

Allen Dean McKenzie, age 55 of Laurinburg passed away on March 10, 2025.

He was born December 23, 1969 in Scotland County, son of Brenda Quick McKenzie and the late Albert Willie McKenzie. Allen worked in the transportation industry as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed caring for his pets, fishing and hunting, and was an avid sports fan of baseball and football. Allen also enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed by all who loved him. 

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by son, Joshua Tyler McKenzie.

Allen is survived by sons, Christian McKenzie, Gavon Brigman, Allen Michael Mintz all of Laurinburg; his mother, Brenda McKenzie of Laurinburg; brother, Albert “Chubby” McKenzie of Laurinburg; sister, Anita “Nikki” Stewart Duncan of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Cayden McKenzie, Allen “Littleman” Michael McKenzie, Jr., Braxton McKenzie, and Braylee McKenzie; and great-grandchild, Michael Mintz, Jr.; along with many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel followed by a time of visitation with the family.
