Albert Woodrow Willis, Jr. was born August 15, 1945 in Lexington, NC, son of the late Albert Woodrow Willis, Sr. and Alma Humphrey Willis. He retired after 44 years as Supervisor for Westpoint Stevens, Inc. He served as a volunteer EMT with the Scotland County Rescue Squad and the Wagram Volunteer Fire Department. Albert also enjoyed fishing and firearms. He was a family man who loved spending time with each of them, especially his grandchildren. Albert passed away at the age 76 on December 30, 2021.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Willis, Barry Willis and sisters, Glendora Brownlow, Peggy Willis, and Noami Burdine.
Albert leaves behind his daughters, Celena Willis of the home, Tina Willis of Pinebluff; son, Robert Glenn Willis, Sr. of Wagram; sisters, Patricia Willis Kersey of Laurinburg, Sylvia Sloan of Ocean Isle; grandchildren, Christopher Willis, Megan Hunt (Derrick), Jessica Willis, Austin Goins, Andy Scott, Stephen Scott, Robert Willis, Jr., Sara Willis; great grandchildren, Bryce Willis, Corben Willis, Cooper Willis, Chaselin Willis, Mariyah Sessoms, Camry Sessoms, Hunter Scott, Carter Scott, Evie Scott, and Mikah Scott. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Nancy Willis; special friends, Virginia “Cookie” Cowey and Matilda “Tilly” Andrews, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Harry Clark. Burial will follow in Laurinburg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
