Albert "Lindsay" Stone, Jr. Obituary

Albert “Lindsay” Stone, Jr. of Maxton, NC departed this life at the age of 76 on Sunday, November 19, 2023.

He was born February 3, 1947 in Robeson County, son of the late Albert Lindsay Stone, Sr., and the late Mavis Lane Stone. On January 20, 1967, Lindsay would marry the love of his life, Rebecca Ann Jackson Stone to share a beautiful life together.  He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. His passion for farming led him to earn an Associate Degree in Agriculture from the North Carolina State University.  He then became a lifelong farmer and business owner.

He faithfully served as a member of the American Legion Post 50 and Midway Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting.  Lindsay’s greatest joy came from time spent with his family.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Left to rejoice in his memory is his beloved wife of 56 years, Rebecca “Becky” Stone of the home; sons, Daniel Stone and wife Karen of Ocean Isle Beach, Travis Stone and wife Dana of Laurel Hill; brother, Don Stone and wife Irene of Bluffton; sisters, Gwen Inman of Sunset Beach, Bonnie McLaughlin and (Martin) of Maxton; grandchildren, Taylor Parker (Preston), Anna Hamilton (Steven), Leah Stone, Ashley Patterson; seven adored great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will have a time of visitation on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

No other services are planned at this time.
