William "Bill" Arthur Royston

William “Bill” Arthur Royston, age 85 of Rockingham, formerly of Laurel Hill passed away Monday, May 20, 2019.

Bill was a son of the late Jefferson Leo Royston and Fannie Bell Wilson Royston born February 25, 1934 in Elberton, Georgia. He was a Korean War Veteran who proudly served in the United States Army.  He retired after many years as a truck driver with Covington Redi-Mix.  Before his illness, Bill served as a faithful member of the Peace Holiness Church.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Royston.

Survivors include his brother, Donald Royston of Elberton, GA along with a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be at Noon, Friday, May 24, 2019 at Peace Holiness Church officiated by Rev. John Cartrette.  Burial with military honors will follow in King Cemetery.   The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church.
