William “Bill” Thomas Davis, age 80, of Laurinburg, NC passed away at his home on May 1, 2019.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Hillside Memorial Park.
Bill was a son of the late George and Ocie Webb Davis born in Richwood, West Virginia on August 10, 1938. He was the loving and devoted husband of 57 years to the late Annette Caldwell Davis. He had a long distinguished career in business management working with the Eaton Corporation and retiring in 2009 from Rostra after 32 years of service. He was a longtime member of Saint Luke United Methodist Church, formerly served as the President for the Laurinburg Jaycees and coached recreational youth football and baseball. He enjoyed watching westerns on television, doing word search puzzles and going to McDonalds for morning coffee with the guys. Bill’s greatest joy was spending time with family and his best K9 buddy, Baxter.
Along with his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Davis, infant grandson, Brandon Davis; brothers, Bob Davis, George Davis and Paul Davis; sisters, Avanell Johnson and Phyllis Miller.
Bill leaves behind his children, Shawnda Barfield and husband Gary of Laurinburg, Patrick Davis and wife Christine of Longs, SC; sisters, Noriene Thomas, Barbara Smith (Benny) and Sharon Miller (Bill); his grandchildren, Ashley Sholar (Britt), Erin Davis (Reid), Blake Davis, Miranda Davis, Brooks Davis, Emily Davis and great grandchildren, Berkley Sholar, Brady Sholar, Madyson Davis, Landon Davis, Hileigh Davis and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
