William Gerald "Jerry" Todd

William Gerald “Jerry” Todd, age 71 of Laurinburg passed away Sunday. July 28, 2019.

Jerry was born February 27, 1948 in Gary, West Virginia, son of the late William Earl Todd and Verna Kelly Todd. He was a United States Army Vietnam War Veteran who proudly supported the POW and MIA organizations and when available, visited the Mobile Vietnam Memorial Wall. He worked as a trucker driver and formerly with LOF/ Pilkington Glass Manufacturing. He served as a member of East Laurinburg Baptist Church, was an avid collector and a NASCAR fan, especially #24, Jeff Gordon. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. A devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Jerry will truly be missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Patti T. Newton, Sandy T. Sylvia and Diana “Dinah” T. Hughes.

He leaves behind his wife, Linda Gail Drury Todd of the home; sons, Michael Todd (Sarah) of Royal Oak, MI, Keith Todd (Mary Ann) of West End; his grandchildren, Kaiya Todd, Noah Todd and Gabriel Todd, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Hillside Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at graveside.
