Priscilla Locklear Driggers, age 82 of Laurinburg departed this life for her Heavenly home on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Crossway Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Nathan Locklear, Rev. Woody Byrd and Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
Priscilla was born April 8, 1937, a daughter of the late Elliott Scott and Ritha Locklear who was lovingly raised by the late Jim and Anna Locklear. She was the devoted wife to the late Talbert Linburg Driggers, Sr., and a loving mother of seven children. She retired after 30 years of service from Spring Mills and served as a faithful member of Crossway Baptist Church. In addition to caring for her family, she also enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. Priscilla will always be remembered for the legacy of love she gave to all of her family.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Phillip Cherry son-in-law, Gene Farris; daughters-in-law, Mary Helen Driggers and Lynn Driggers; siblings, Mary Jane Powell, Wilson Locklear, Ervin Locklear and Kayola Locklear.
She is survived by her children, sons, Talbert Linburg Driggers, Jr., of the home, John Howard Driggers of Laurinburg and daughters, Nancy Santiago (Ramon) of Gibson, Debbie Johnson of Laurinburg, Elaine Farris of the home, Evelyn Driggers (Terry) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Ellen Pittman, Ramon Santiago, Lee Rierson, James Rierson, Tina Wilson, Aaron Cole, Jennifer Cole, Sarah Cole, John H. Driggers, Jr., Tony Driggers, Talbert Driggers III, David A. Driggers, Joshua Johnson, Nikota Driggers, Julian Driggers, David Driggers, Jr., McKenzie Driggers, Justin Driggers and Matt Driggers; her great grandchildren, Jordan Pittman, Tyler Pittman, Andrew Driggers, Valarie Driggers, Samuel Deese, Jasmine Wilson, Jordan Johnson, Kyra Johnson, Kylie Cole, Landon Santiago, Nicholas Santiago, Daniel Cohen, Natasha Johnson, Christopher Driggers, Brandon Driggers, John M. Driggers, Aiden Driggers, Nova Sky Johnson and great-great grandson, Eli Driggers. Priscilla also leaves behind her many brothers and sisters in the Locklear Family and Scott Family along with a host of nieces, nephews and all the ones who lovingly called her “Mama”.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at Richard Boles Funeral Service and other times at the family home.
