Patricia Matthews Smith

Patricia Matthews Smith, age 73 of Laurinburg, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

Patricia, only daughter of the late Clarence Matthews and Leona Marie Melvin was born July 21, 1946 in Wilmington, North Carolina. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and loving her K-9 friends. Her favorite pastimes were photography, reading, watching movies and crafting. Patricia had a special relationship with her cousins and spending time with each of them brought her great joy. Her family will remember her as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister and cousin.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Matthews

She leaves behind her husband, Larry James Smith of the home; children, Jamie Smith of Atlanta, GA and Jody Smith of Charlotte; brother, Billy Miller of Wilmington; grandchildren, Marysa Comer and Spencer Smith, along with a host of her loving family.

A drop in visitation to pay respects will take place from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Topsail Baptist Church, 18885 Hwy 17 North, Hampstead, NC  28443.
