Ollie Ester (Norton) Medlin

Ollie Ester Norton Medlin, age 78 of Laurel Hill passed away Monday, September 10, 2018.

Funeral services will be at Noon on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park.

Ollie, a loving daughter of the late Clarence L. Norton and Bessie Odom Norton, was born March 8, 1940 in Scotland County. She worked many years in textiles with Springs Mill. Ollie served as a member of Gibson Friendship Holiness Church. She loved spending time outdoors in her garden working in her flowers.  She also enjoyed shopping and cooking. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will truly be missed.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. Medlin; brothers, Edward Campbell Norton, William Norton, Woodrow Norton; sisters, Mae Norton Gibson and Thelma Norton Pittman.

She leaves behind, her sons, Randy Medlin (Linda) and Michael A. Medlin all of Laurel Hill; brother, Junior Norton of Laurel Hill and sister, Shirley Stubbs of Laurinburg; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until Noon prior to the service on Thursday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
