Nancy Locklear Clark, age 92 of Laurinburg passed away Monday, September 2, 2019.
Nancy was born February 25, 1927 in Robeson County, a daughter of the late Douglas Locklear and Sallie Katie Locklear. She was the loving wife of 58 years to the late Melvin Thomas Clark who passed away in 2001. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed sewing and spending time caring for her family. She served as a member of Hillside Baptist Church. To her family, she will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Bill Clark two grandchildren, Jackie Clark and James “Bimbo” Tyndall, III, and all of her sisters.
Nancy leaves behind her sons, Howard Clark (Dorothy) of Laurinburg, Jerry Clark (Patty) of Albemarle, Ronald Clark (Diane) of Laurinburg; daughters, Glennis Locklear of Laurinburg, Lenora Gardner (Tommy), of Laurinburg; brother, Arnold Locklear (Alice); thirteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, thirty-four great-great grandchildren, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Laurinburg Memorial Park.
A time of visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
