Morris Randolph "Jerry" Dial

Morris Randolph Dial, age 72 of Wagram passed away on Thursday, October 04, 2018.

Morris, a son of the late Benford Bethel Dial and Zela Mae Dial, was born on April 20, 1946 in Robeson County. He worked for many years in textiles with J.P. Stevens. He attended Turnpike Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming and selling produce to the public. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother and friend who will truly be missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, John P. Dial, Benford Dial, Jr. and Hoosie Bell.

Morris leaves behind his wife, Pauline Mims Dial of the home; sons, Jerry Wayne Dial, McKinnley “Mack” Dial, both of Maxton, Michael Randolph Dial of Winston Salem, Jeffrey Lee “Pa” Dial of Laurel Hill; daughters, Gertha Denise Dial of Maxton, Brenda Lee Dial of Laurinburg, Zela Mae Dial of Wagram; brothers, Nelson Dial of Pembroke, Cornelius Dial; sisters, Carolyn Smith, Sylvia Chavis, Lottie Chavis, Miriam Dial Locklear, Patricia Bell “Dook” Martin , Sue Bell Lewis, Janifer Shoemake of Florida; twenty-two grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Monday at the funeral home.
