Mark Edward Denson, age 48 of Maxton passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Maxton Fresh Manna Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Rev. Timmy Hunt and Rev. Howard Harding. A private interment will be held at a later date.
Mark was a son of Margaret Stephens Denson and the late James Edward Denson born October 23, 1970 in Scotland County. He worked as a welder for Metal Fabricators and loved sharing time with his family and friends. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the Maxton Fresh Manna Pentecostal Holiness Church who enjoyed reading his Bible. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and was a rebel with a cause proudly flying the Dixie flag. He also had a passion for all kinds of animals.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carlara Boggs Denson and a sister, Debra Patterson.
Mark is survived by his children, son, Matthew Edmond Denson of Laurinburg and daughters, Karri Ellen Denson of Laurinburg, Danielle Marie Denson of Lumberton; step son, Tyler Boggs of Vass; his mother, Margaret Denson of Maxton; brothers, Charles Edmond Denson of Spartanburg, SC, Jimmy Stephens of Fountain Inn, SC and sisters, Lucille Denson of Laurinburg, Ollie Barger of Fountain Inn, SC; mother-in-law, Vera Cothran of Cameron; grandchildren, Ava Lynn Easterling, Quinton D. Oxendine, Harley Kerns, Hunter Heath Kerns; his many nieces, nephews and special cousins, Jackie Stone of Maxton, Kimberly Perkins of Sanford.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Maxton Fresh Manna Pentecostal Holiness Church, 910 South Austin Street, Maxton, NC.
