Margaret Ann Walden Locklear, age 56 of Laurinburg passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
Margaret was born December 27, 1962 in High Point, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Richard Andrew Walden, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Fowler Walden. She was the wife of the late Glenny Ray Locklear who preceded her in death in 2015. She was a loving homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. In times of leisure, she enjoyed going to garage sales, fishing and loved sharing time with family.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by grandchildren, Christina Jefferson and James Patrick Jefferson, Jr.; sisters, Alice Locklear and Bobbie Fowler.
Margaret leaves behind her sons, Michael Wayne Walden (Ashley), Christopher Walden, both of Laurinburg; daughters, Felicia Jefferson (Patrick) of Laurinburg, Michelle Hunt of Laurel Hill; brothers, Andrew Walden (Wanda) of Gainesville, FL, Freddie Walden of Kernersville, Wayne Walden of High Point, Roger Walden of Laurinburg; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, along with her nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be at a later date.
