Maggie Ellis Nealy

Maggie Ellis Nealy, age 79 of Laurinburg passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018.Ellis

Maggie was born April 18, 1939 in Columbus County, a loving daughter of the late Walter Ellis and Arrie Penny Ellis. She worked as an employee of Roses Department Store and then went on to retire after many years from LOF/Pilkington. She attended Charity Outreach Church. Maggie enjoyed cooking, fishing and working in her yard. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Jimi Sue Morton and brother, Bobby Ellis.

Maggie leaves behind her daughter, Caren Brooks (Roger); brother, Bill Ellis (Joyce); sisters, Barbara Ann Stone Fore, Dorothy Oxendine (Rev. Jerry), all of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Angie Lewis, Kristin Jacobs, Misty Watts, Tamara Morton, eight great grandchildren; sister in-law, Ellen Ellis of Laurinburg; a host of many loving nieces, nephews and many friends.  

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Laurinburg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
