Loretta Anne Maxwell Griswold, age 80 of Laurinburg passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

Loretta was the loving daughter of the late Robert Maxwell and Ino Tervo Johnson born April 26, 1938 in Quincy, Massachusetts. She proudly served her country in the United States Army. She retired after many years of service from her distinguished career as an Administrator with Northeastern University. Her quiet times were spent drinking her coffee, knitting, sewing and reading. To her family, Loretta was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and she will forever be missed.

Surviving are her children, sons, Kenneth Griswold (Katherine) of Cordova, Michael Griswold (Dawn) of Hampstead and daughter, Dayna Griswold of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, Megan, Greta, Anna, Rhys, Taylor and great grandchildren, Maxie Lou and Baine.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
