Joyce Crouch Deese

Joyce Crouch Deese, age 77 of Gibson was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, June 30, 2019.

Joyce was a loving daughter of the late Eugene and Edna Mae Taylor Crouch born January 25, 1942 in Union County, North Carolina.  She was the devoted and loving wife of 57 years to the late Rev. Dale Deese.   A homemaker, she dedicated her life to the love and care of her family and faithfully served the Lord and church as a Pastors wife.  Following their retirement in ministry, she faithfully served as a member of the Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Joyce shared the love of Christ to all she encountered with her kind and gentle spirit. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Vickey Deese Locklear and grandson, Seth Keeter; brothers, George Crouch, Blease Crouch and sister, Elizabeth Spargo.

Joyce leaves behind her children, son, Raymond Deese of Gibson and daughter, Virginia Gleaton of North, SC; brothers, Lloyd Crouch and Wayne Crouch; sister, Jean Franklin and Frankie Stowe; grandchildren, Victor Keeter, Dallas Gleaton, Austin Gleaton, Bradley Locklear, Stevie Carter and great grandchildren, Casey and Jasper along with many nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial following in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church.
