Jessica "Brooke" Wagner Rackley

Jessica “Brooke” Wagner Rackley was born February 22, 1982, a precious daughter of Ronald Lavern Wagner, Sr., and Wanda “Sue” Smith Wagner.   She was a graduate of East Carolina University and Gardner Webb University earning a Master’s Degree in Education Administration.  She was the Band Director with Carroll Middle School in Raleigh.  She was a member of the Laurel Hill Baptist Church, enjoyed reading, journalizing, cooking and working puzzles with her children.  Known and loved by many, she made an impression on all she encountered.  Brooke’s greatest joy was being a mother and caring for her family.  She passed away at the age of 37 on July 4, 2019. 

Brooke is survived by husband, Jesse Weldon Rackley, III and her sons, Noah David Rackley and Ryan Weldon Rackley of the home; her parents, Ronald and Sue Wagner of Maxton; a brother, Ronald Lavern Wagner, Jr., (Susan) of Laurinburg and sister, Amy Grooms McGill of Maxton; a niece, Tahler Wagner and nephews, Cody Freeman, Logan Wagner along with a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Don Malpass.  Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Laurel Hill Baptist Church, 9560 Morgan Street, Laurel Hill, NC.

The family requests for memorial donations to be given to the Autism Society of North Carolina.
