Jason Eric Hopkins

Jason Eric Hopkins, age 38 of McColl, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the McColl Church of God with burial following in Rogers Cemetery.

Jason was born October 7, 1980 in Bennettsville, South Carolina, a loving son of Annette Hopkins and David Cheek.    He currently worked with McCarter Electric as a welder.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping and working on cars.  Jason loved to joke, laugh and share time with his family, friends and his K9 companion, Jake.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnnie Hopkins and grandmother, Mildred “Midge” Cheek.

Jason is survived by his wife, Denise Lockey Hopkins of their home; his mother, Annette Hopkins Ransom and father, David Cheek; brother, Eric Skipper and wife Kayla, and sister, Victoria Cheek; grandparents, Colon Cheek, Jr., and Barbara Hopkins Lewis all of McColl, SC along with a host of loving family and his many friends.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the McColl Church of God.
