James Melvin “Toaster” Robson, age 64 of Hamlet passed away, Thursday, July 4, 2019.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Robinson Family Cemetery in Ghio, NC.
Toaster, son of Eliza English Robson and the late Colie Robson, was born on November 12, 1954 in Hamlet, NC and was the devoted husband of the late Barbara Robinson Robson. He was United States Army Veteran who proudly served in Berlin, Germany. He worked in manufacturing retiring from Alpha Plastic and served as a member of Harvest Ministries in Rockingham. Toaster loved spending time with his family, friends and fishing at the beach.
Along with his father and wife, he is also preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Helms, Elaine Robson and Alma Robson.
He leaves behind his son, Colby Robson of Hamlet; his mother, Eliza English Robson of Bennettsville, SC; brothers, JC Robson of Bennettsville, Rev. Donnie Robson (Barbara) of Ellerbe, Marshall “Pete” Robson (Lisa) of Chesterfield, SC; sisters, Helen Herndon of Hamlet, Monnie Willoughby (Johnny) of Rockingham; nieces and nephews, Dana, Heather, April, Keith, Jason, Patrick and Paul; great nieces and nephews, Emma, Meredith, Kurtis, Sonny, Cole and Tullis, along with a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
