Harlee Aldrich "Richie" Johnston, Jr.

Harlee Aldrich “Richie” Johnston, Jr., age 61 of Wagram passed away at his home on December 26, 2019.

Born March 14, 1958 in Scotland County, Richie was the loving son of Doris Whyte McNeill Johnston and the late Harlee Aldrich Johnson, Sr.  He worked in the family business, Johnston Brothers, Inc., and Reynolds Tile & Flooring.  He most enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing in his leisure time. 

Surviving are his wife, Diane Wendelken Johnston and son, Matthew Aldrich Johnston of Texas; mother, Doris McNeill Johnston of Wagram; sisters, Doris J. Spell (Glenn) of Clinton,NC; and Dr. Peggy A. Johnston (Mary) of  Eure, NC.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Montpelier Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 407, Wagram, NC 28396.   Family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday beginning 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
