Grace Johnson Gause

Grace Johnson Gause, age 90 of McColl, SC passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019.

A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Beaver Dam Cemetery in McColl.

Grace was born May 6, 1928 in Dillon County, SC, a daughter of the late Fernie Mack Johnson and Annie Bass Johnson. She was the wife to the late L D Gause.  She worked many years with So Pak Co and attended McColl Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church. Grace enjoyed working in her flower garden, doing yard work and making pecan pies. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. To her family, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Terry Gause; brothers, Clarence Johnson, Wade Johnson and her sister, Alene Johnson.

Grace leaves behind her son, Gerald Gause (Trisha) and daughter, Violet Wiggins (Jimmy), both of McColl, SC; sisters, Myrtle Chaisson of Lumber Bridge, NC, Shirley Stewart of Clio, SC; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and  a host of loving nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
