Gloria Jean Wilson Lee

Gloria Jean Wilson Lee, age 72 of Gibson passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019.

Gloria was born October 7, 1946 in Taylor, Texas. She was a daughter of the late Frances Laverne Wilson and Jay D. Leshikar. Gloria moved to Scotland County from Woodbridge, Virginia with her companion, Elmer Lovell, in December 2005. She was a retired cook who worked for the Scotland County Jail. Gloria never met a stranger. She would strike up a conversation with anybody, anywhere. She had a very strong Christian faith. She prayed regularly, and believed in the power of prayer. Gloria also enjoyed Facebook and political discussions. Most of all, Gloria had a deep love for both her family and Elmer’s.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Sutton.

Gloria is survived by her loving companion of 22 years, Elmer Lovell of the home; children, Kevin Sutton (LaDonna) of Llano, TX, Tommy Carpenter (Chrissy) of Poplar Grove, IL, Donny Carpenter (Misty) of Llano, TX, Michelle Boop (Bill) of Blanco, TX, Shanna DeVault (Jesse) of Llano, TX, Todd Lovell (Jesi) of Lowell, NC, Wesley Lovell of Kittery, ME, and Deborah Fucello (Joe) of Woodbridge, VA; twenty grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. A private interment will take place at a later date.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
