Eulah May Jacobs Powers, age 75 of Laurinburg passed away to her Heavenly home, Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
Eulah, a loving daughter of the late J.P. Jacobs and Ruth Grooms Jacobs, was born February 28, 1943 in Marlboro County, South Carolina. She was the devoted wife to the late James Powers. She worked many years helping others as a CNA in home health care. Eula was a member of Fletcher Chapel where she loved worshipping and participating in church activities. Eulah was an avid North Carolina Tarheel fan, enjoyed floral arranging, making crafts and painting. She also loved her time spent at the beach. To her family, she will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Randall “Randy” Jacobs and sisters, Sarah Locklear, Myrtle Cook and Helen Ovenden.
Eulah leaves behind her daughter, Holly Powers of Laurinburg; sister, Mary Ross (James) of Gibson, her grandchildren, Brittany Tryon (Robbie) and Richlan “Duder” Powers; great grandchildren, Breanna Tryon, Hannah Tryon; a special niece, Phoebe Hilton, along with her many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Andy Stewart. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
