Dorothy Lee Tyner Morgan

Mrs. Dorothy Lee Morgan, age 86 of Laurinburg passed away on Friday, May 03, 2019.

Dorothy was the loving daughter of the late Robert Tyner and Gracie Wilkie Horne born December 2, 1932 in Hartsville, South Carolina.  She married the love of her life on December 26, 1954, William “Bill” H. Morgan and dedicated her life to caring for her family.  She began her working career in banking and then to education retiring after 20 years of service as a Secretary and an Elementary School Teacher’s Assistant with the Scotland County School System.  Dorothy loved being a mother to all and she also enjoyed dancing, singing and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Tyner.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dr. William “Bill” H. Morgan of their home; sons, Tony M. Morgan and wife Valerie, Terry Morgan and wife Camille and daughter, Tamara Davison and husband John; her grandchildren, Will B. Morgan, Hunter Morgan, Jacob Davison, John Martin Davison  and great grandchildren, Cash Morgan and Lacey Rodgers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park.   Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
