Daniel Henry Jones

Daniel Henry Jones was born April 16, 1944 in Robeson County, a son of the late Howard and Doretha Cromartie Jones.  He departed his life on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the age of 75. 

Like most of us, Daniel accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and joined the Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church.  He attended Scotland County Schools.  In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Manning Jones; his daughter, Genetha Manning; brothers, Belton, George and Robert Jones; sisters, Hattie M. Douglas and Louretha Jones; aunts, Janie Lloyd and Betty Jones.

Daniel leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Alexander J. Manning (Yolanda) of Laurinburg, Anthony L. Manning (Nicole) of Hope Mills and Devon McRae (LaToya) of Charleston, SC; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; his brothers, Samuel Cromartie (Alice), Lacy Jones (Irena) and Linburg Jones all of Wagram, William Jones of Orlando, FL, John H. Douglas (Dee) of Home Mills, Linwood Jones (Marie) of Colts, Purdie Jones of Laurinburg, Jerry Daniel of Wagram; a sister, Sadie M. Jones of Laurinburg along with a host of loving nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and many friends.

The family requests memorial gifts to be given in memory of Mr. Daniel to his niece, Barbara Jones, 603 Butler Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.  Family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
