Annie Jane Bullard Hunt

Annie Jane Bullard Hunt, age 74 of Maxton passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Charles Barton, Rev. Odell Wilkins and Rev. Carson Smiling.  Burial will follow in the New Life Holiness Church Cemetery in Maxton.

Annie Jane was born February 19, 1944 in Robeson County, a daughter to the late Felton Bullard and Rosie Locklear Bullard.  She was the devoted wife to the late Tom Hunt, Sr., who passed away in 2011.  She dedicated her life to loving and caring for others and loved her job as a nursing assistant with Bryant Home Health Care.  She faithfully served her God, her church at Hoke County Church of God, and her community.   She enjoyed doing Bible word search puzzles and visiting with family and friends.   To her family, Annie Jane will forever be loved and cherished as a wonderful mother and grandmother, devoted sister and loving friend.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Stephan Locklear; brothers, Sherman Bullard, Johnny Bullard and sisters, Ester Mae Clark, Rosie Lee Locklear, Betty Rose Locklear, Lilly Mae Smith and Margaret Jones.

Annie Jane leaves behind her children, sons, Dannie Ray Bullard of Charlotte, Tom Hunt, Jr., (Natasha) of Maxton, David Hunt, Jr., (Susan) of Laurinburg and daughter, Joyce Locklear of Laurel Hill and son in law Kenneth Locklear of Maxton; brothers, Sam Bullard, Jr., of Pembroke, Bill Bullard of Maxton; sisters, Sally Mae Locklear of Maxton, Sarah Locklear of Red Springs, Annie Ruth Locklear and Judy Dial both of Maxton, Christine Locklear of Laurinburg; twenty four grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; her many nieces, nephews and a host of loving family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

The family request for memorial donations to be given to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
