Joyce Ann Smith Watts

Joyce Ann Smith Watts, age 71 of Laurinburg, NC passed away on April 7, 2024.

She was born on July 14, 1952 in Sampson County, NC to the late Daniel Marion Smith and the late Lillie Mae Blackwell Smith. Joyce was a devoted homemaker, who loved caring for her family. She was an adored mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter, Melissa Hersman; brother, Jimmy Daniel Smith; sisters, Rosie Mae Capel and Joe Ann Susedik; and grandson, Christopher Warr.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Marcus Hopkins, Johnny Hopkins, Richard Gainey; daughters, Melinda Hopkins, Katrina Gainey Moser; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Swart: brother, Jimmy Daniel Smith; sister, Jenny Miller; grandchildren, Cristine Hayes, Michael Quick, Coty Colley, Chase Colley, Arron Saintjohn, Brandon Carpenter, Dorinda Zinnerman; granddaughter in-law, Lydia Webb; and great-grandchildren, Kayleeb Parker, Karah Parker, Michael Parker, Makenna Hontley, Dominic Hontley, Allie Zinnerman, Leilani Zinnerman, Elijah Zinnerman, and Elijah Webb; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
