Jerry Poythress

Mr. Jerry Dean Poythress, Sr. of Laurinburg departed this life at the age of 80 on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

He was the loving son of the late Roy Poythress and the late Grace Green Poythress, born on July 25, 1943 in Scotland County. Jerry proudly served in the Unites States Army and was a dedicated employee of NSG formerly L.O.F., Pilkington n for many years until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and watching western movies. His greatest joy came from time spent with family and the memories they shared. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will truly be missed.

Left to rejoice in his memory is his beloved wife, Betty Knighton Poythress of the home; son, Jerry Poythress, Jr. and wife, Kim of Laurinburg; daughter, Pam Parker and husband, Ronnie of Laurens, SC; brother, Danny Poythress of Clinton; sister, Barbara Crowder and husband, Clifford of Laurens, SC; grandchildren, Whitney Radford, Michael Allen Poythress, Nicholas Parker, Brandi Parker; and great-grandchildren, Konnor Brayboy, Luke Poythress, and Anastasia Poythress; along with many loving extended family and friends.
