Our beloved, Esther Morton Clark Wallace, precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and devoted friend passed to her Heavenly home at the age of 99 on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
Esther was the loving daughter of the late David and Ida Pankey Morton born February 2, 1925 in Scotland County, North Carolina. She was a Godly woman who faithfully served Christ and dedicated her life to the love and care of her family as a homemaker. She has faithfully served as a member of the Wagram Church of God since 1977. She had a special passion for children and loved caring for them all making each feel special. Her love of nature was evident as she enjoyed growing flowers, feeding and watching the hummingbirds and squirrels. Family gatherings, meals, or just time shared on her porch were amazing times filled with love and joy. Mrs. Wallace was a virtuous woman who leaves a legacy of love for her family to cherish. Her sweet spirit, delightful smile and warm hugs will truly be missed.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Mr. Ernest Clark and second husband of 56 years, Mr. Robert “Bob” Lee Wallace; sons, Ronald Clark and Danny Clark; granddaughter, Missy Clark Stone; brothers, Steve Morton, Ernest Morton, Burnis Morton and sister, Retha Williams.
She is survived by her children, Rev. Harry Clark (Kay), Kathy Clark Powell (Jerry), Johnny Clark (Beverly), Debbie Clark each of Laurinburg and Aaron Clark (Donna)of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Angie Cline (Eddie), Michael Clark (Hope), Misty McMillan (Billy), Lorie Summerlin (Justin), Jason Clark, Jeremy Clark (Carly), Keith Stone; great-grandchildren, Eric Stone (Katie), Chase Cline, Morgan McMillan, Carston Cline, Jacob Clark, Colton Clark, Landon Clark; great-great grandchildren, Gibson Stone, Carter Stone, Paisley Stone; her many nieces including Joyce Caulder who spent many special days with Aunt Ester; her nephews, many loving friends and her church family.
The Homegoing Celebration Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Wagram Church of God officiated by Rev. Harry Clark and Rev. Ricky Brewer. The graveside committal will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Wagram Church of God, 21741 McKay Street, Wagram, NC.
